Q-KON, a GVF member company in Pretoria, South Africa, has announced its inaugural Hands On Skills Test (HOST) session to be held on 8 July in support of the GVF VSAT installation certification training.
The HOST sessions provide testing of the hands-on skills required for professional and efficient installations of VSAT terminals, while emphasising the mitigation of uplink interference. The HOST is an integral step in both the Basic and Advanced VSAT Installer certification in the GVF training certification path.
The Global VSAT Forum provides a solid based training programme for VSAT and broadband satellite terminal installers. The training programme is delivered via a combination of online, interactive, simulator-driven training modules developed by SatProf. Q-KON, in collaboration with the GVF, will periodically offer the HOST, which is required for all GVF certifications.
Q-KON's training centre will conduct the HOST sessions at its offices in Pretoria. Supplementary classroom sessions as well as HOST administration can also be presented at customer premises.
