DHS agency implements fleet-management solution

Fleet Management Solutions completed integration with two DHS Office of Detention and Removal (DRO) systems.
DRO has installed the FMS GPS tracking device, which transmits position, direction, speed and other telematic data in more than half of the 4,600 vehicles within the DRO fleet. Data is sent through the Iridium satellite network to the FMS Fleet Central Web server; dispatch centers can securely login and monitor the vehicles' location, movements and status. The data goes to DRO Vehicle Management Information Systems, which uses the AssetWorks enterprise asset management application to manage the entire population of DRO assets.

 

FMS Fleet Central is also integrated with the DRO FlyteComm Frontsight service, which provides the agency's air and ground common operational picture.
