Comtech Secures Movement Tracking System Orders Worth $47.4 Million

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. recently declared that its Maryland-based subsidiary named Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation has secured orders that worth $47.4 million under its Movement Tracking System or MTS contract with the U.S. Army.
 

 
The multiple service and equipment orders results in the provision of satellite network operations management, program management, installation, training, engineering and technical support services. The contract also leads to the supply of MT-2012 satellite transceivers, control station components, vehicle installation kits, miscellaneous equipment items, and software licenses. The provision of these products and services is to support the Army's move towards full adoption of the RFID ISO 18000-7 standard. Comtech's MT-2012 transceiver consists of Savi Technology's ISO-compliant Echo Point RFID Reader incorporated with an encrypted GPS module.
 
The President and Chief Executive Officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp.,Fred Kornberg said that: "Most of these service orders support Comtech's continued provision of the satellite network operations management, program management, and technical support services required to support the U.S. Army's MTS Program.”
